The fourth of July in Los Angeles is a spectacular event for many.

The fourth of July in Los Angeles is a spectacular event for many. 

It’s a sign that summer is in full swing and a celebratory mood is in the air.

But as the sky explodes with colorful pyrotechnics, so do complaints to the fire department.

Across the city, neighbors with pets, sleeping children, and those who are bothered by the noise are frustrated with illegal fireworks. 

Others around Los Angeles think the fireworks are a beautiful tradition and spend their evening outside in anticipation of the displays.
