Dunkin' Donuts opens in Santa Monica: People camp out for first Southern California store
Dunkin’ Donuts, the coffee and donut chain popular on the East Coast, rolled out the pink carpet for the opening of its first Southern California full-fledged restaurant Tuesday morning in Santa Monica.

Dunkin’ Donuts opened its first California restaurant location in Modesto last week, according to the company’s website.
The chain also has locations at Camp Pendleton and a San Diego Embassy Suites, but the Modesto and Santa Monica locations are considered its first full-fledged restaurants in the state.
Dunkin’s dark roast coffee debuts at the Santa Monica and Modesto restaurants Tuesday before going to locations nationwide Sept. 22.
