Classes were back in session in the L.A. Unified School District on Tuesday -- and finding the right classroom were among the typical first-day-of-school challenges from many of the 472,000 students.

KPCC visited  Alta California Elementary School in Panorama City, where principal Jose Benitez helped students navigate their return to the school routine.
